What’s New in Pediatric Office Emergency?

In 2015, a workshop entitled “Handling Office Pediatric Emergencies” HOPE, was developed under the IAP presidential plan 2015 to address these needs. The goal of the workshop is to enhance skills in common pediatric emergencies and establish familiarity with a good triage system.

The preparations required are good knowledge, adequate skills in emergency procedures, trained staff, medication and emergency equipment’s and a triage system to recognize a sick child.

The HOPE module is designed to cover all of the above aspects in training a pediatrician to prepare himself to Recognize, stabilize and shift a sick child, so that their survival chances improve and justice is done to patient care.

We believe that, through this effort, we can strengthen, expand our reach and improve the emergency care of children throughout our country.

We HOPE to establish a network of instructors across the country who can train local practitioners and standardize the quality of health care.
